<div id="job-details" tabindex="-1">In this role of Program Manager supporting the Engineering VP for Global Risk and Compliance Technology, you will work in a highly dynamic and exciting environment and will have the opportunity to organize and shape the vision and priorities with the GRCT leadership team for the organization, maintaining line of site with the broader technologies organization strategic imperatives, compliant to enterprise mandates and an enabler in the partnership with our product teams and stakeholders to create world class strategies and technical solutions as we deliver capabilities through our platforms. As you take the lead in driving projects around strategic imperatives, you will play an influential role working closely with colleagues across multiple areas including but not exclusive to various Technology groups, Risk Management teams, Finance, and Compliance.<br /><br />Responsibilities<br />
<ul>
<li>Drive project and priorities for VP and leadership team.</li>
<li>Identify and anticipate sophisticated problems or opportunities and formulate recommendations.</li>
<li>Accelerate decision making, as driven by VP and team priorities 1) conducting analysis, research, and data collection. 2) formulate options and present a proposal.</li>
<li>Ability to influence others by communicating information based on sound analysis (i.e. business cases, cost-benefit analysis, metric driven analysis, scenario modeling, etc.)</li>
<li>Collaborate and forge positive relationships with Engineering, and Portfolio teams to identify and effectively manage dependencies across organizations</li>
<li>Create intuitive and high-quality communications for senior executives, including strategic materials and program updates.</li>
<li>Maintain a clear understanding of strategic imperatives across the team and prioritize VP attention on these business and operational programs.</li>
<li>Develop project plans against program strategies, identify and communicate progress and achievements, with the appropriate cadence to partners. (staff meetings, monthly accomplishments, BUR status, strategies, etc).</li>
<li>Aid with business-tech partnerships and communication to ensure clear priorities and shared goals, as well as alignment to overall technology strategy.</li>
<li>Lead colleague engagement including leading location specific team building activities and providing central point of contact for some colleague related activities, collaborating closely with central and market HR, etc.</li>
<li>Collaborate with finance/ budget and portfolio leads to ensure budget stays on target, opportunities are meaningfully invested and resource strategy is optimized based on needs of the organization and partners.</li>
<li>8+ years of related experience.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, experience in Technical discipline preferred</li>
<li>Extensive Business/Industry work experience, with shown experience in a leadership role and a Project/Program Management role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Agile Practices, experience working on an Agile/Scrum team is a plus</li>
<li>Quick learner, ability to quickly understand key platforms and foster relationship with engineering and product teams.</li>
<li>Proficient using Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word, Visio and Collaboration tools (i.e. Confluence, One Drive, etc.)</li>
<li>Inspires confidence and the ability to handle ambiguity, multiple tasks, shifting priorities and set schedule to meet deliverables</li>
<li>Shows a genuine personal dedication to successfully completing all projects with an ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations</li>
<li>Ability to effectively interpret Technical and Business objectives as well as challenges and support the team in delivering.</li>
<li>Extensive, demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and drive outcomes with leadership team in strategic areas (i.e. strategies/roadmaps) under limited direction.</li>
<li>Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity, advocating for simplification, influencing teams, strategic mindset support leadership discussion materials and being able to build your own path to navigate to solutions</li>
<li>Experience using business knowledge and technical acuity to represent data as relevant content for the organization.</li>
<li>Navigate efficiently within American Express, with shown ability to learn business processes, partners and operations supported quickly.</li>
<li>Shown experience with defining and leading Organizational Change is desired</li>
<li>Requires financial acuity for representing project/program financials using vital internal tools.</li>
<li>Prior Technology and/or Finance Technology experience/knowledge a plus.</li>
